Every Zaryn service in plain words, where to find it on the site, what's free, and the guide that shows you how. Start here if you're new.
**Zaryn** ([zaryn.xyz](https://zaryn.xyz)) is a website for keeping your work online, sharing it and working on it with other people. **zev** is the program on your computer that saves versions of your project and sends them to Zaryn. You can do a lot from the website alone; zev is there when you want more.
Each section below is one thing Zaryn does: what it's for, where it is on the site, and where to read more.
## Keep a project online, with every version
A **repository** is a folder for one project (code, a thesis, a dataset, a website) that remembers every version you save. You can see what changed and go back to any earlier version.
- **Where:** [Repos](/repos) in the top menu, then **New repository**.
- **From the website:** open the repository and press **Upload** to add a file. Nothing to install.
- **From your computer:** install zev and push a whole folder at once. [Quick start](/docs/en/quickstart) walks you through it in about five minutes.
- **Free:** unlimited public repositories, 5 private ones, 2 GB in total, files up to 250 MB.
> **Public or private?** Anyone can see a public repository. A private one only you and the people you invite can see, and it can also be [encrypted](/docs/en/encrypted-repositories) so not even Zaryn can read it.
## Share a file with a link
Upload a file, get a link, send it to anyone. They don't need an account.
- **Where:** [Storage](/storage) in the top menu.
- **Free:** 500 MB, up to 50 files.
- **Guide:** [Storing and sharing files](/docs/en/storing-files). These files are public, so read the warning there before you upload.
The same page shows how much space your repositories, files and packages use.
## Work with other people
- **Invite someone** to a repository: open it, then **Collaborators**.
- **Report a problem or suggest an idea** with an **issue** (the **Issues** tab on a repository).
- **Propose a change** and ask for a review with a **pull request**: the owner reads it, comments and merges it when it's ready.
- **Work as a team** under one name with an **organization**: [Repos](/repos), then **New organization**.
- **Talk privately:** [Messages](/messages).
**Guides:** [How do I…?](/docs/en/how-do-i) (the "Share and work together" part) and [Collaboration from the Terminal](/docs/en/cli-collaboration).
## Publish a package
If you write a library, Zaryn hosts it for the tools you already use: npm, PyPI, Cargo, Zig, container images, or any file.
- **Where:** [Packages](/packages). The page shows the exact command for each tool.
- **Free:** 500 MB.
- **Zig:** Zaryn reads your `build.zig.zon` and gives you the exact hash `zig fetch` will compute; any repository commit works as a dependency too.
- **crates.io or GitHub slow?** cargo and zig can download through Zaryn's [mirrors](/docs/en/package-mirrors), checked against the hashes they already know.
**Guides:** [Packages, explained](/docs/en/packages), then the one for your tool.
## Test your project on every push (CI)
CI builds and tests your project automatically each time you send new work, so you hear about a broken change right away.
```bash
zev ci enable
zev ci status
```
- **Free:** 400 minutes a month.
- **Guides:** [zev ci](/docs/en/commands#zev-ci); how it skips work it has already done is in [Memoized CI](/docs/en/memoized-ci).
## Know when something you use is unsafe
Zaryn tracks security problems (**advisories**) in libraries and tells you when one reaches your project. A repository's **Security scan** tab checks it on demand.
- **Where:** [Advisories](/advisories), and the **Security scan** tab on each repository.
- **Free:** yes. Only the live graph of who's affected is Premium.
- **Guide:** [Advisories and lineage](/docs/en/advisories).
## Reach Zaryn when the internet is filtered
`zev proxy` sends zev's traffic through a proxy server you already have (VLESS, VMess, Trojan, Shadowsocks, Hysteria2 and more), and `zev proxy doctor` finds out what's being blocked and how to get around it.
- **Free:** on every plan. Zaryn carries none of this traffic.
- **Guide:** [Using zev through a proxy](/docs/en/proxy).
## Connect your devices privately (Premium)
A **private network** joins your laptop, servers and teammates' machines so they can reach each other directly and encrypted, wherever they are.
- **Where:** [Network](/network).
- **Guide:** [Private networks](/docs/en/private-networks).
## Let an app, CI or AI agent use Zaryn
A **project** holds API keys for a program that calls Zaryn: each key has its own permissions, limits and usage numbers. Hosted AI models are part of Premium.
- **Where:** [Projects](/projects).
- **Free:** 50,000 API requests a month, up to 60 a minute.
- **Guide:** [Scripting and AI Agents](/docs/en/automation-and-agents).
## Plans and paying
Everything above has a Free plan; **Premium** raises the limits and adds private networks, hosted AI and more. You top up Zaryn credits with USDC, and credits pay for Premium.
- **Where:** [Billing](/billing), which also shows what you've used.
- **Guide:** [Billing and Zaryn credits](/docs/en/billing-and-credits).
## Still not sure where to go?
- Press `/` on any docs page and type what you want to do, in your own words: "share a file", "undo", "invite someone".
- [How do I…?](/docs/en/how-do-i) has short answers to the most common tasks.
- [When something goes wrong](/docs/en/troubleshooting) explains error messages.
